Featured Project: Cleveland Heights Master Suite

Cleveland-based Harmoni Designs takes the phrase "go green" seriously. Helping project managers and architects create sustainable interior design is their bread and butter. Martin Johannessen, President and Director of Design at Harmoni Designs, shares the details on a recent master suite remodel that perfectly suited his clients.
Martin's clients purchased a house with a monochromatic master suite complete with large walk-in closet, master bedroom and bathroom. The existing color scheme was a cool-toned grey palette, from the cabinetry to the bathroom tile. With the homeowners working in the medical industry surrounded by similar color schemes in the hospital environment, they were looking to create a warm-toned yet contemporary retreat to welcome them home after a long shift.
The creative design came to life through a collaborative working relationship with the client who had a preference toward clean-lined details. Harmoni Designs managed every step of the design and construction process including design, material selection, contractor bidding and construction management.
The natural woodwork was designed to be the main focal point of each room while adding warmth, rich texture and quality workmanship. The fixtures, furnishings and finishes were selected to complement the beautiful woodwork that was custom-made for the project. The natural woodwork in the master bedroom and walk-in closet brings light and color resulting in a comfortable and interesting space accented by the owners’ artwork.
The master bathroom was designed to provide the homeowners with a peaceful and inviting space to relax and unwind after a busy day. The plumbing fixtures throughout the entire master bathroom were carefully selected to provide the clients with a spa-like bathing experience. This was accomplished by installing an infinity edge soaking tub and a multi-functional shower area.
The end result is an original, stunning master suite that reflects the clients' personality and provides a harmonious living space to balance their busy lifestyle.
