  • What You Need to Know about Wall-Mounted Toilets

    Posted by Daniel Edelman on

For the past several years we’ve seen a dramatic uptick in the number of wall-mounted toilets purchased for residential use. Wall-mounted toilets are easy to install and are virtually maintenance free. Since the tank is concealed in the wall, this is a great solution for narrow bathrooms and can save you up to 8” of depth compared to a floor-mounted toilet.

Geberit is the originator of wall-mounted toilet carriers and the industry leader for over 40 years. We often get questions about the toilet's strength. There’s no need to worry because Geberit’s support frame is rated for up to 880lbs. Plus, the bowl height can be placed anywhere from 15”-23” off the floor, making it an ideal toilet choice for anyone who is taller than average.

Installation: The carrier is designed for installation using a minimum number of standard tools. It attaches easily to the wall framing studs at just four points. Drainage and venting are no different than a conventional residential floor-mounted toilet.

Maintenance & Repair: Should you need to service the toilet, everything is accessible through the actuator flush panel. The panel is easily removed to expose the supply stop, fill valve and flush valve.

Warranty: Geberit carriers have a limited lifetime warranty, a 10-year warranty on the fill valve and flush valve and a one-year warranty on actuator flush panels.

Design: The Geberit carrier system provides many design options since it is compatible with major toilet manufactures such as Duravit, Kohler, Lacava, Neo Metro, Toto and Villeroy & Boch.
